mindfulness & meditation workshops

PAST WORKSHOP locations include North Shelby Library, Emmet O'Neal Library, Vestavia Hills Library in the Forest, Homewood Senior Center, and Town Village Retirement Community.

For those interested in stress reduction and relaxation I conduct interactive Mindfulness & Meditation workshops. Modes and techniques explored during the workshops may include breath awareness, body scan, fundamental pranayama breathing techniques, progressive muscle relaxation, music, mantras and chanting, visualization journeys, meditative movement (mindful walking, qigong, tai chi), and mindfulness in everyday life. I hold workshops at libraries, community centers, retirement centers, and businesses.

My certification to teach Meditation comes through my 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification. I have also completed an 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction training with MBSR leaders from the University of Massachusetts Medical School as well as Meditation training through the Shambala Meditation Center.
